Using Domain Names in cPanel

All our packages at EcoHosting include various opportunities to use numerous domains with a single hosting package. Their appropriate use will depend on your particular objectives. Here are the key differences:

Parked Domain: you can use this if you simply want to use numerous domains and have them all point to the SAME WEBSITE. One website with multiple domains pointing to the same files.

Add-On Domain: you can host multiple independent websites with one account by using the add-on domain option. By creating an add-on domain a folder in your webroot is created matching the name of the new add-on domain For example: seconddomain.com will point to a directory in your web-root of the same name (/public_html/seconddomain/).

Sub-Domain: though not a unique domain a sub-domain can be used to create an 'alias' that points to a sub-directory of the same name. For example: test.domain.com will point to a directory in your web-root of the same name (/public_html/test/).
